Unionville Historic Village Walk (Afternoon)

Take a stroll back in time through the Unionville Village Historic District with Donald McKay. Unionville was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. From its beginnings in the 18th century as a simple crossroads, it grew into prominence in the 19th century. The village has been the site of public and private schools, three religious’ organizations, and even a tannery. As a center of commerce there were several general stores, a town hall, early inns, oyster bars, a hotel, and for a period Unionville even had its own bank. Local artisans have called Unionville home throughout its history and today many of the unique businesses work out of its historic buildings.

The tour will cover about 1.75 miles along the public trails and sidewalks within the historic district, starting and concluding at Farmer & Co.
